Solis is now considered the last great Mexican composer and singer with an extensive catalogue and long musical trajectory who is still loved, followed, and flocked by his fans, ever since the passing of Joan Sebastian, in 2015, and Juan Gabriel who passed in 2016, both who along with Solis are considered by many the three heavy-weights of modern-day Mexican popular music.
